More Than 3,000 Students to Attend Mississippi’s Largest College & Career Fair
OXFORD, Miss. – More than 3,000 high school students from across North Mississippi are expected to attend the 5th Annual Lafayette-Oxford-Ole Miss College & Career Fair on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at the Lafayette County Multi-Purpose Arena in Oxford.
Hosted through a partnership between Lafayette High School, Oxford High School, and the University of Mississippi, the event has grown into what many participants consider to be the largest college and career fair of its kind in the State of Mississippi.
The fair will bring together representatives from all of Mississippi’s four-year colleges and universities, most branches of the United States military, and more than 90 businesses, industries, and workforce organizations, providing students in grades 10–12 with an opportunity to explore the many educational and career pathways available after high school.
Students will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with admissions representatives, military recruiters, employers, and workforce professionals while learning about scholarships, internships, apprenticeships, technical training, and career opportunities available throughout Mississippi and beyond.
“This event is about helping students discover what’s possible after high school,” said Ronnie Williams, Career Coach at Lafayette High School. “Whether a student’s next step is a four-year university, community college, technical training, military service, or entering the workforce, we want every student to leave with valuable connections and a clearer vision for their future.”
The annual fair continues to strengthen the connection between education and Mississippi’s workforce by introducing students to the organizations and employers helping shape the state’s future. Organizers believe the event plays a significant role in preparing students for successful careers while assisting colleges, universities, military branches, and employers in connecting with the next generation of talent.
